Responding To Past Errors

A key those lessons was to get the community involved from the start, and the team launched exclusive player testing sessions earlier this year.

This "feedback was incredibly encouraging," states she.

Another missing component from the last game was a story mode, which has been restored this time around.

Criterion project head Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual tasked with "making sure those levels are as entertaining and engaging as feasible for the players."

Despite claims that the scale of the title had challenged the different studios collaborating internationally to build the project, he is optimistic about the process.

"Partnering with varied perspectives, different backgrounds, it's a really interesting atmosphere to be part of on a regular basis," he explains.

"This whole strategy has been a fresh take but something very inspiring because we are partnering with people from around the globe."

Concerning the pressure on the developers, Fas comments: "There is stress but at the same time it's exciting.

"This is a major venture. It's arguably the largest that most of us have before participated in."
