In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent assistant".

These exchanges were released on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee contains an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by matching the timeline, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's closest aides in the run up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

British Affairs Discussed in Exchanges

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the time, he continued: "The guys are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can uk. Ideal- so people get the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - someone has to take charge".

Theresa May was finally toppled in 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party told the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the justice department should make public all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in 2019.
